Extra Issues Gone!

November 28th, 2009

Dear friends,

Just an FYI that all the extra copies I had of issue #7 are now spoken for. I’m so sorry if you missed this issue, but it will hopefully be available to read here on the blog soon. Also, the new issue should be going out after the first of the year. If you have not subscribed or would like to receive a sample issue, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post with your postal address and you will be added to the mailing list. Your contact information will not be made public.

Hope you all had a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving!

All because of Jesus,

Candace :)

A Couple of Notes…

November 20th, 2009

Dear friends,

In only a few days, those of us in America will be celebrating Thanksgiving. I thought it would be a perfect time to reopen the “1,000 Gifts” page. Please know you don’t have to post 1,000 things you’re thankful to God for. :) But, do you have 1 or 10? Won’t you celebrate the goodness of our God by posting some of your “gifts” here?

I pray that you and your families are all doing well. It seems I never have a great deal of time to post my long, personal entries much. But, mother and I are doing well and God continues to be faithful in the seconds, minutes, hours, and days.

I had originally planned to send the next issue of WFTM out this month, but God seemed to have other plans. :) I can only send as donations allow, and this time, I’ve just not had it prepared in time either. It looks like the new one may go out in January, Lord willing, but we’ll have to wait and see. Life is so adventurous when the LORD directs all our steps! ;) The theme of WFTM #8 will be mothering (even in our single years). You won’t want to miss it! I know you’ll be very blessed. Please continue to pray for God’s hand to guide the preparation, editing, printing, and shipping of this issue. Certainly, it is nothing without His anointing.

I will leave you tonight with a Scripture that has been dear to my heart as of late;

Now the word of the LORD came to me saying, “Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD, “I remember concerning you the devotion of your youth,The love of your betrothals, your following after Me in the wilderness, through a land not sown.
Jeremiah 2:1

Abundant blessings to all of you dear readers as you delight yourself in the Lover of your soul!

All because of Jesus,

Candace :)

Devotion

November 10th, 2009

prostrate

“Devotion is that state of the will in which the mind is swallowed up in God.”

~Charles Finney

This quote really pierced my heart today.  Is your mind swallowed up in God? It so easy to become swallowed up in all sorts of things in this world.

But, Lord, today, I want the chains of my daily distractions to fall off of me, that I can truly be consumed by You, my Master.

Dear friends, would join me in praying the same?
