Watching for the Morning Candace D

Hello November!

November 1st, 2010

Hello to you beautiful, golden, crispy leaf laden, thankful heart provoking, just a tad nippy November! You bring w/ you heaps of childhood memories and dreams of feasts & laughter soaked fellowship with loved ones. You bring the smell of warm spices, pumpkin pie, hot wassail, my apple sausage stuffing and leaves burning outside. You bring the sound and sight of wild turkeys gobbling and waddling their way around the mountain. You bring chilly, pink noses and frost coated windshields and curious, hungry wild life nibbling on the cat’s food. You sum up the “beautiful death” of our lush, green, adventurous summer. You teach us that dying was meant to be bright, colorful, leaving us breathless and in awe until winter is over and flowers again appear all over the earth.

You bring joy to the hearts of those who celebrate the soon coming birthday our King. You bring anticipation & expectancy of new, exciting, God-ordained things to come! For some reason, every time you come, I feel so excited! You mark the very end of the “silent years” before a BABY’s cry pierced the darkness of a sin-diseased world like a symphony of JOY and HOPE! You remind me that God is faithful & true. So…may the Lord who sets the seasons & ordains each day and perfects the times be glorified greatly in you, little darling month! ;)
